Everyday Makeup for Glasses

I've worn glasses for over 10 years now, and although I do frequently wear contact lenses, there are times when I feel that certain outfits are more suitable with glasses. Below I'll demonstrate a look that I recommend if you have thick frame glasses like I do.

Finish Look

Remember when you are wearing glasses, your eyes will be hidden behind those lenses. To make it pop it recommend to use shimmery/ metallic eyeshadows. Any dark or matte eyeshadow looks could make your eyes look more sunken behind the thick frame.

Before

First and foremost..
Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Foundation in 11 Very Light; L'oreal True Match Lumi Foundation in W5 Sand Beige

Make sure your skin looks as flawless as possible! Here I used a mixed of 2 foundations as the shades are not suitable for me just by themselves.

Coastal Scents C217 Brush; MAC Blacktrack Fluidline

Tight line and then use the flat eyeshadow brush and dip into a light metallic beige colour and apply it onto the 1/3 of your lid, inner corner, and the bottom 1/3.

First application

Flip your brush to the clean side and apply the dark metallic brown on the the rest of the lid, and the lower lash line.

As so

Remember to blend it out properly! Line your eyes with

Line your eyes.

Before blush

Here comes the most important part that finishes off your makeup look. WEAR YOUR GLASSES before you apply your blush! Place the blush where the bottom of your glasses start and blend out accordingly.

Like so!

Don't forget your mascara and lip stick..!

Bold Pink & Gold Makeup Tutorial

Happy Tuesday! I bet everyone in Canada is looking forward to the long weekend ahead :)

I'm going to share a rather bold and colourful look today. Perhaps this is not your everyday look, but it's certainly good to experiment with some different looks once in a while!

Complete Look

Start off your face with some moisturiser. For this look, I recommend to apply the foundation and concealer after since it will have some fall outs from the eyeshadows we are going to use today. Feel free to substitute any colour or product with what you own. You don't have to go all out to purchase the exact same thing!

Prime your eyes with Too Faced Shadow Insurance and then use NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil sparingly. The white base will enhance the colours we will be using later. Blend out.

Apply white base for the colours to pop!

Gold eyeshadow; Boujour gold eyeshadow pigment in 02; Sigma E55

I used 2 different gold and overlay each other to create the tone I desire. Apply only on the centre of your lid.

Gold on the centre is the lid

Dark pink eyeshadow; Sigma E25

Use the blending brush with a dark pink colour and blend across your socket. Since I don't have a defined socket, I placed it where it looks best.

MAC Beauty Marked; Sigma E30 Pencil Brush

Use a dark purple or black with a pencil brush to define the outer corner of your eyes. This will make your eyes stand out.

Like that!

Use the same pencil brush and the purple colour to line the outer part of the lower lash line. Choose either one of the gold colour we used before to highlight the inner corner and inner part of the lower lash line.

Blend out the eyeshadows using a clean blending brush. Feel free to reapply any colour that faded during blending.

MAC Black Track Fluid Line; Furless Eyeliner Brush

Tight line with Mac's eyeliner.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara; Maybelline Master Precise Eyestudio Eyeliner

Almost done..

Apply mascara and you're done with the eyes :)

Close up

I used a bright pink lippie as it works best for this look.

Sigma F40 Brush; NYC Sunny Bronzer

I chose to use the bronzer to contour and also as a blush. This bronzer is suitable for that as it is rather light.

Hair Exfoliator Experiment + VS Lippies

It was a great day for the husband and I as we managed to take a long walk around Toronto in such beautiful weather! Lucky for us, we also got a glimpse of the MMVA rehearsal at Queen St W!

We dropped by Dollarama just for a short stroll and noticed this Hair Exfoliator product for $2. I've seen things like that back in Asia and thought it might worth giving it a try! I have very very sparse body hair though. You'll be seeing some pics below as I demonstrate....

Smooth Skin Hair Exfoliator

Proof of sparse hair

Close up shot of my sparse hair

Let's begin! On first look the product feels like a very fine sand paper and I already felt suspicious at that point.

Peel off the back of the pad for stick side

Paste it onto the handle

After rubbing for a few minutes

Conclusion:
Don't bother with this product! It did nothing for hair removal, and given my VERY sparse hair, this product still didn't work! Imagine if there are more...

Also because it is literally sand paper, it does a good job in exfoliating the skin. However it left my skin feeling rather irritated from too much rubbing.

$2 down the draiiiiinnnnnnnnnn..

Any ways, life goes on! There are loads of great sales going on in town so I managed to grab some lip products from Victoria Secrets to try!

Dazzle Shine Lip Gloss in Dazzling Citrus; Beauty Rush Glossy Lip Tint

They were only $3.50 each!

Certainly drop by town if you have some time before all the goodies are gone :)

See you tomorrow!
