Le Rouge Givenchy Lipstick Review

Hi all! Happy Spring time! Although it is still extremely cold and windy over here, but a lot of places are starting to warm up for sure!

I tend to wear brighter clothing and brighter lip colours as the weather turns warmer. Vibrant colours make me feel happier :) I was lucky enough to receive some products from Givenchy for the season and I would like to share about them with you guys!

Givenchy Le Rouge

The lipstick came in this cute tiny paper bag with 2 mini keychains! I loveeee them! The lipstick keychain is now hanging out with my house keys. :)

Mini lipstick!

Le Rouge in 301 Magnolia Organza

There are 17 colours in this collection ranging from neutrals to brights. The colour that I have here is a bright fuchsia pink and looks absolutely amazing with all skin tones!

The lipstick is packaged in luxurious and soft black leather, a material that made an iconic presence in Givenchy fashion shows.

The lipstick is extremely pigmented and gives a creamy finish on your lips. Even if you don't have the habit of lining your lips, it does not bleed. It wears well, although not extremely long lasting, but you will only need to touch up once during lunch time for a full day of wear.

Me wearing the lipstick

The picture definitely does not do the lipstick any justice! It is much more vibrant in person that it looks on the picture.

They are sold exclusively at Sephora, so do drop by and try them on! They really do feel amazing on the lips.

Thank you for always supporting my blog! :D

Happy Holiday!

Hi all!

Before I begin with my post today I would like to share my condolences to all the families that were affected by the horrible shooting in CT and everyone else in the world who are suffering from war, sickness, and death.

________________________________________________________
I've gathered some of my favourite products here and there for this post. I will do another one featuring only drugstore favourites!

Here are some favourites that I've gathered from this year. Most are fairly new as I purchased most of the products from their Xmas collection and Sephora sales.

Tarte Baby It's Bold Outside Collection

I might've mentioned this before, but I still don't think that people are giving this set enough love! It has everything you need to create a beautiful look for all the holiday parties that you'll be attending. 24 lovely eyeshadows, 8 lip glosses, a setting powder, mascara, and blush.. all these wonderful things to choose from. This set also comes with a blush brush which I'm currently using it separately. It's actually very soft too!

Lip gloss swatches

If you're a fan of minty lip glosses, you'll love these!

Laura Mercier Artist's Palette for Eyes

I got this very recently when I received the $20 off $50 voucher from Sephora. Initially I wasn't going to get it because I am very sure I already have similar colours. LUCKILY, I caved and got it. The eyeshadows are SOOO buttery and SOOO easy to blend. I've had many high end eyeshadows and I've not had any that could blend out so quickly and easily.

This has made my life easier in the morning when I'm getting ready for work!

Givenchy Healthy Glow Powder in 3 Ambre

Lovely product that perks up the dull skin from dry winter air. Need I say more?

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matt Bronzing Powder

Smells exactly like chocolate and applies evenly for contouring or bronzing! I can't stop sniffing it!!

Stila Convertible Colour in Peony

These 2 products are actually taken out from a Sephora Favourites set that's why they are not full size. Nonetheless, they are still the same great product that you'll get no matter the size!

This is my first ever Stile convertible and I am enjoying it a lot! Though I'm using this more on my lips cause it gives the perfect nude without washing me out.

Boxum Time to Shine Lip Gloss Set

Top: High Beam
Bottom: Buxom Glosses

Benefit High Beam

The Buxom lip glosses kept running out of stock in Sephora! I'm glad that I got my hands on some just in time. If you don't mind waiting, you can always order online :) They are much more pigmented than the ones that came in the Tarte set, but for a higher price of course. I love them and they also claim to enhance the size of your lips. Not sure about that end, but I really love how it feels on the lips!

Benefit High Beam, a favourite of a lot of beauty enthusiast out there. Gives your face a glow without making it look like a disco ball.

Before I leave, here are some LOTD when I went out for a family holiday party!

Thank you Suzanne for the wonderful food! :)

Have a wonderful holiday and remember to tell your loved ones that you love them!!

Givenchy Healthy Glow Powder Review

Hi there! Weather is getting cold isn't it? I hope everyone stays warm and try not to catch a cold!

Since I've been busy working and trying to stay indoors as much as possible, I've gotten back to my old skin colour. At least as close as it can be..

During the Givenchy & Fendi launch that I was invited to few weeks ago, I was given a goody bag and in it there was this wonderful Givenchy healthy glow powder. I put off using it for awhile but I finally gave it a try last week and I have not been able to complete my daily makeup without it since then.

Givenchy Healthy Glow Powder in 3 Ambre

There are 3 colours in this line, so if you have darker skin than I do, it might work as a gorgeous highlighter instead of a bronzer.

Comes in his beautiful case

Whenever I'm at work I have gotten compliment on how nice my skin looks. I'm sure it's a combination of the new foundation that I've been using and the glow that this product provides me with.

BEFORE

BEFORE CLOSE UP

As you can see that I am certainly lack in colour on my face, hence making it look rather flat and pale.

AFTER GIVENCHY HEALTHY GLOW POWDER

CLOSE UP

I use the ELF complexion brush to dust the powder across my cheeks, with the remaining I go across my forehead and sides of my nose.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Magic

To complete the look, I use a peachy pink blush and lightly go over the apples of my cheeks with the same brush. Sometimes I leave it as it is depending on the look I am going for.

Complete look with Blush

If you are thinking to get a glow during the colder months, you should definitely give the Givenchy Healthy Powder a go! I've been loving it and will definitely continue using it until I'm out!! :D:D

You can purchase this in store at Sephora or Sephora.com.

Givenchy Fall-Winter Makeup Collection & Fan di Fendi pour Homme Launch

I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Givenchy Fall-Winter Makeup Collection & Fan di Fendi pour Homme Perfume launch last week at Bloor St. Sephora.

It was an amazing experience with all the important staff working behind the scene jumping out to give us introduction and explanations to the products.

In the past I have only purchased one Fendi product, and often than not, I stop and stare at their amazing packaging.

Amazing makeup artist & beautiful model

Some breakfast prepared

As it was in the morning, the kind LVMH team prepared some lovely breakfast for us hungy bloggers before the event starts.

Makeup artist introducing us the new Givenchy Noir Couture Mascara

The mascara is absolutely AMAZING! This is my first time using a mascara from Givenchy and I cannot believe how well it performs! It volumises without clumping and also lengthen my short Asian lashes.

Check out my lashes!!!!

Fiona telling us more about the Givenchy Dahlia Perfume

I was given the Dahlia Eau de Toilette and I love it! It has a slight peachy scent without the over powering sweetness that a lot of perfume has.

Fan di Fendi pour Homme perfume

Since a friend of mine couldn't make it, Yoshi came along with me. Lucky for him, they were also introducing the new Fan di Fendi perfume for men. It's really refreshing but at the same time it also has the autumn musky scent. If you are thinking to get your men a new perfume the next time, try giving this a go!

Some goodies we got!

Here are the goodies we received from the event. I've tried some of them and very excited to share with you all about it so please stay tune!

Have a great week and it will be FRIDAYYYY tmr :D Yipee!

YSL Teint Resist Long Wear Foundation Review

YSL Teint Resist Long Wear Foundation

I don't usually go for a high end foundation if it's not required. I understand that some people think that more $$ means better quality, but in my opinion, I give everything a fair chance and it's safe to say that  drugstore brands have outperform the expensive brands over the years.

YSL recently came out with another foundation, the Touche Eclat but I haven't gotten a chance to try it out yet. If you would wish me to compare the 2 foundations please leave a comment down below! :D

Bare face

As usual, I'm showing you the bare face! hahaha. Lately I have not been  much outside so I believe I have lost some of the tan that I gained during the summer. Toronto is also getting very cold now (ugh! hate it!) so I am staying indoors as much as I can.

After

I applied the fondation with my trusty Sigma F80 Flat top brush. I reallllly need to get a new one! That brush is my fav and always give me a perfect finish!

Close up

I went along to put on the rest of my makeup. I did not set this foundation with any powders or setting sprays.

3 hours later

Excuse me with the bad hair. My fringe is growing at this weird length that it keeps falling on my face so I have to pin it back. I went out around Bloor st and my makeup stayed intact for that 3 hours.

7 hours later (with flash)

We met up with our friends and went to Hapa Izakaya for dinner. My makeup still looks very fresh even though it has been 7 hours. No signs of blush sliding down my cheeks or eyeshadow going under the eyes.

Check out my lashes!!!! I'm only using the new Givenchy mascara!

Pros:
  • Light weight
  • Medium coverage
  • Long lasting (May differ slightly if humidity and temperature is HIGH outside)
  • Great colour selection
Cons:
  • I honestly can't think of any!
Thank you for reading and see you soon!
