Luxola Malaysia Order Review (Sleek, Z Palette, Egyptian Magic)

Hello beauties!

Recently I made a purchase from Luxola Malaysia as they were offering a 30% discount on all products on the site. I have been reluctant to make a move but who could pass on such a good deal?

I made the order on the 5th of May and it arrived on the 9th of May, despatch from Singapore to Malaysia. The site offers free express shipping for all orders over RM40, but don't expect to get it within 1-2 days.

Here are some of the things I bought.

Sleek Palette in Oh So Special, Large Z Palette, Travel Size Egyptian Magic

The package came intact and wrapped in many layers of bubble wrap. The Sleek Palette has such beautiful rosy colour selections! Definitely a cheaper alternative to the Urban Decay 3 Palette.

I am going to try out the Egyptian Magic Cream and do a thorough review on what I think about the product. The consistency of the product is actually fairly thick, a little probably goes a long way. I have heard that people used it for everything, including as an eye cream!

All in all it was a good experience shopping on the site (even with the slow "express" delivery), I would repurchase if they every go on sale again. Some of the products there definitely have a high mark up from the original price, so if you have friends or family travelling back from USA, do ask them to assist you in picking up the products from there.

Thank you for reading and please come back soon again for some swatches from the Sleek palette.

Nose and Face Contour

Hello everyone! I'm back today with a face and nose contouring tutorial.

This is suitable for faces with less dimension or if you wish to look more tan. I have to admit that I over applied on my face for the purpose of this tutorial.

Choose a colour that is 1 or 2 shades darker than your skin tone, do not go overboard with it even though you want to look as slim as possible.

BEFORE

AFTER

You may or may not have realised, but none of my pictures in the blog are edited. I post them as-is because I find that it's the best way to demonstrate the looks I have without altering them with photoshop.

My cheeks are quite defined so usually I will just lightly contour my face with a light matte bronzer. It is important to use a matte powder for contouring because you do not want to enhance the puffiness of the contoured area.

My face certainly looks slimmer and my nose is also sharper in the AFTER photo.

Here are some of the tools I used:

Close Up

To begin with, use a big tapered brush and lightly blend across your face in a shape of 3. Just like the photo, it would be across the forehead, underneath the cheek bones, and underneath the jaw line.

If you have protruding jaw or if you want your face to look shorter, bring the colour to your chin as well.

Use a pointed smaller brush, in this case I used F35, and blend the dark colour on the side of your nose. I start from the tip of my eyebrows and blend downwards. Make sure you use a lighter hand on your nose than the side of your face.

Remember to not create a stark line. Otherwise you will end up looking like this:

That's all for today! Leave a comment to share your tips and tricks on contouring :)

Favourite Drug Store Make Up

Hi there! I'm back today with some of my favourite drug store products! Most of them I've own and used for awhile now so please feel free to tweet/ leave me a comment if you wish for me to explain a little more.

Follow me at: www.twitter.com/AivysBeautyBlog

FTTB: Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Eyeliner Trio (from light to dark); MILANI Liquif'Eye Eyeliner

FLTR: MILANI, Physicians Formula Trio (from darkest to lightest)

These eyeliners are some of my absolute favourite as they stay on the tight line and water line and does not budge! Especially the Milani, which comes in a variety of super bright colours.

L'oreal Voluminous Hydrofuge Mascara
This mascara makes my lashes really full and does not smear even after long hours of wear!

A brand from the UK but available in their online store. This palette offers great pigmentation and large mirror. Good for travel as it creates looks from day to night.

A dupe for NARS Orgasm and Laguna at the price of $3! Super pigmentation but slightly shimmery. If you are not into any shine on your face, you might want to give this product a pass.

Wet n wild Coloricon eyeshadow palette

Wet n wild Coloricon Blusher (Heather Silk 832)

Wet n Wild has been stepping up on their game lately. All their Coloricon products became a great hit in the beauty community. Their products are available at most drugstores (Walmart in Canada) and priced very reasonably. You should definitely get your hands on some of their products if you have a chance!

Revlon Photo Ready Foundation ( Nude - SPF20)
This foundation gives a luminous finish and offers medium to high coverage. It looks great in pictures and it gives a flawless finish! Definitely one of my top favourite foundation from high end to drug store.

All products mentioned are available in your local drug store or supermarket unless otherwise stated.

See you tomorrow for Asian exclusive drug store favourites!
