Easy Soft Pink Makeup Tutorial

Hi there! Today I'm back with a soft pink makeup tutorial.

I am currently still trying to play with the camera settings to get colours to show up properly.. so apologies if it seems a little bit off! I will keep trying!

Here's the complete look

First and foremost, prime your face with your favourite primer to prevent your makeup from slipping and sliding down the face throughout the day. Here I used Laura Mercier Oil Free Primer.

Before

MAC Paintpot in Fresco Rose; YSL Teint Resist in number 5

Create a natural looking canvas for the rest of the makeup. Prime your eye lids with a pink tone base in order for the shadows to adhere better.

Coastal Scents 42 Colours Shadow and Blush Palette

Pink
Use a light shimmery pink and pat it all over the lid.

Maroon and Orange-red

Use the maroon colour and lightly shade the outer corner. With orange red, go across the upper lash line as if you are lining your eyes (I recommend to use a small shader brush or angled liner for this part).

Tight line your eyes!

This is what the colours will look like at this point...

With a light brown matte shadow, contour the eyes where the socket would set in. You can skip this part if you find it unnecessary.

LORAC Front of the line Pro Liner in Black

Line your upper lash line

As you can see, the brown gives the eyes a bit of dimension.

Using the blush from the same Coastal Scents palette (2nd from left; top row), lightly dust across your cheeks.

Matte Pink Blush

Finish your look with a pink-purple lipstick! :)

Finish look

There you go! This look is suitable for a date night out to movies or dinner :)

Have a great week!

4th of July Makeup Tutorial

I hope that everyone had a great weekend! I have to apologise here for my irregular posting during the last 4 days as I was away for the Canada Day long weekend. I'm back now and things are going back to normal again.

Today I'll be sharing a tutorial inspired by the American flag, in celebration of the 4th of July. Although I'm not American myself, most of my readers are and I hope that this will be able to help some ladies out there.

Complete Look

Let me begin with the tools that I used for this look.

The colours I used are Yellow (Most left; 3rd down), White (Top left hand corner), Royal Blue (3rd row from the right, 2nd down), and Black (Most right, 2nd down).

The blush I used is the light peachy pink colour at the top left hand corner.

To begin with..

Before

I applied my usual foundation Revlon Photo Ready with my sigma F80 brush and tight lined my eyes using the Physicians Formula gel eyeliner in black.

Sigma F80; Revlon Photo Ready Foundation in 004 Nude

MAC 209SE; Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Gel Cream Liner in Hazel Eyes

Base and eyes complete

First eyeshadow

First use your flat eyeshadow brush and dip into the royal blue eyeshadow, apply from the outer corner towards the inner corner of your eyelids. Leave the inner 1/3 empty.

2nd colour

Use a clean flat eyeshadow brush, dip into the yellow and apply it in the inner corner sweeping into the blue. With a pencil brush, use the same blue to line the bottom lash line.

Darken the outer corner

Clean the pencil brush on a tissue paper, with the black colour eyeshadow, slowly darken the outer corner for more dimension.

Final eyeshadow + eyeliner

Apply with white colour on the inner lower lash line to brighten the eyes and line the eyes with the same gel liner.

With eyes open

Sigma F40; NYC Sunny Bronzer

Apply bronzer in the shape of "3" to contour. Lightly dust on the side of the nose to create a higher looking bridge.

With the same brush, use a light peachy pink blush and swipe it across the cheeks.

Almost there!

TADAH! Complete look! :D

Close Up

I realised that the last few photos have a slight blue tint. My battery ran out and I had to use another camera. Sorry!

Happy 4th of July to the Americans! ^.^

Favourite Make Up Palettes

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers in the world! I hope everyone is having a great time with their family members! Unfortunately my dad is so far away right now.. Hopefully I get to see him soon.

Today I will share a few palettes that I've used quite extensively and enough to call it my favourite compared to other make up palettes I have. Anyone who have seen my collection knows that I have piled up quite a bit  of cosmetics over the years!

Note: You are only able to purchase these products online. Which means all my readers from all over the world is able to access it!!!

Number 1

Folds into a compact size

This palette has 56 eyeshadows, 2 blushes, 8 gel eyeliners!!, 5 brow wax, 3 highlights, and 4 lip glosses. I LOVE this palette. I've used this for my mother-in-law's wedding and mine as well. It has awesome pigmentation and it's a great palette for travel and even make up artists. It has everything that you need for all types of looks!!!!!

I HIGHLY recommend this palette. Yes it does come with a higher price tag, but I assure you that you will not find one that is as complete as this and as good quality!!!

Number 2

This cost $18.95 on Coastal Scents but you can certain search for one with a lower price tag on Ebay! Simply put in the name of the palette you'll be able to get over 100 hits.

The reason this is my 2nd favourite is because the pigmentation is great, and it has a good variety of blushes. This is also convenient when I take this along to do someone else's make up, I'm able to create many colourful looks that is not achievable in the first palette.

Number 3

Great palette if you like neutral looks. Suitable for wedding make up as most ladies prefer a more natural look on the big day. Same as the palette above, try searching it on Ebay to save yourself a few bucks!

To end my post today, I'll share with you a very simple LOTD.

Hello!

Close up

I used Physicians Formula black eyeliner to tight line and lined half of my top lash line. Smudge it out with an angle brush using a brown colour eyeshadow for a more natural look. Finish the look with your favourite blush!

See you tomorrow :)
